I heard the first BOOM a few minutes after I walked in the door.

Is my roof going to collapse? was the first thought I had. The second BOOM came a few minutes later around 10:45 PM. What the hell is that? It sounds like fireworks. But these fireworks sounded like they were coming from the middle of my neighborhood.

The third BOOM came around 11. My blinds were shut, but I saw a white light illuminate the periphery of the blinds, then heard the BOOM. What the fuck?

This morning, I woke up to check my email and I had the usual update from the Southampton Yahoo Group. The BOOMS had their own topic. Cops had been called and questions were being asked, and, as usual, someone had an answer for the nervous queries of my neighbors.

"...it's hoosiers about a block south shooting off expensive fireworks, our dog isn't happy, I've heard three patriotic explosions thus far..."

To all hoosiers with expensive fireworks...if you want to celebrate the great day of December 2nd, do it with a beer & a "yee-haw", you scared the hell out of me and my pup!
