Regular readers of this blog know that Tower Grove Park is my absolute favorite City park. I love the fact that you can't quite escape the sounds of the City, no matter where you are in the park. The sounds of sirens, cars and people are part of the necessary white noise of the park that allows me to find peace. And I truly do find peace at TGP...I find calm, beauty & history. When I'm in the park, I really am aware that I'm walking through a park that has been over a century in the making...and is still under construction.

This year, the park has been hit by two major storms and has suffered considerable tree damage. The storm this past July storm caused the most damage to Tower Grove Park since the Great Cyclone of 1896.

Get well soon, Tower Grove Park...you're beautiful, rain or shine.
