Nice list. No, you are not musically challenged. In my book musically challenged are the meat heads that allow clear channel and other mass media payola outlets to spoon feed them crap (Nickleback, Hoobastank, etc.).

My best of 2006 list is topped by Belle and Sebastian "Life Pursuit". Heard it? Literary like the Decemberists, but much more melodic and poppy.

My second favorite 2006 release: Band of Horses.

I can't listen to the radio anymore, in fact, I don't think i've listened to it in at least 5 or 10 years. I really rely on people who know their music to expose me to those unknowns who are almost ALWAYS better than what's played on the crappy airwaves
