Why don't I think ahead and ask for the week between Christmas and New Year's off? I'm sitting at my desk, bored to death...I think I've reached the end of the internet, and I've got 3 more days of this! Poker & word puzzles on Yahoo are fun for a little bit, but after a while it gets almost as tedious as sitting and doing nothing.
I like Poker Superstars well enough, but I'm not crazy about playing against the action script some Flash designer used to create the game. It kind of makes me feel dumb, no, cheated, when I lose. Text Twist is always fun, but that game really makes me feel stupid. When you can't make a 3 letter word out of the letters "C", "A", and "T"...well, I'll leave it at that. There are a couple of arcade games that can keep me entertained for about 15 minutes, but I'm thinking the best solution to this problem is to march into my bosses' office, head high, chest puffed and say "Um, would it be OK if I took the rest of the week off? No? Ok, cool, just checking!"

hah! i felt the same thing this morning when - and keep in mind i live in a city of 9 million, with around 3 million daily subway riders - i walked out of the subway with ONE OTHER PERSON! usually there are 100+ people getting off at my stop. today: ONE! i thought Bloody Hell why am I going into work?!?...
...
