8 and 9 - No way! What was your response?
I met someone at a conference who had never been to St. Louis but was familiar with the Arch as a part of the skyline. He thought it was made of stone and was shocked that it was stainless steel. Shocked to the point that he almost argued with me about it.

I just pointed them in the right direction :) I wanted to say "if you turn your head to the right, you'll see our famous landmark" but I figured I'd let them figure it out!
So, this person you almost argued with about the stone arch, did he know you could take an elevator to the top...and how that worked if the arch was made of stone?

Great thoughts. The arch can be quite a spectacle, especially under unusual skies. I used to turn left onto Chestnut from Broadway when going home each night. Sometimes the sight of the Arch against the evening sky would captivate me.
Also... I second the pee smell under 70. Definitely Not a pleasant aroma when walking back to work w/a freshly packed gut (from lunch on the landing).
Haha! The weatherman on channel 2 is hilarious. Reminds me of a scene from the movie Snatch. Maybe he's a Pikey.
Weatherman: "Do you like blags?"
Brick City: "Blags?"
Weatherman: "What? Blags. You like blags?"
Brick City: "Oh, blogs. Sure, I like blags."
